Binance Fees Explained: Spot, Futures, BNB & Referral Rebates

Binance fees are determined by the product, order type, VIP tier, account settings, region, and active promotions. This guide separates the main mechanisms so a headline discount is not mistaken for a guaranteed final fee.

Quick answer: Binance Academy uses 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker as the typical VIP 0 Spot example. Paying eligible Spot fees with BNB may currently reduce that fee by 25%. Referral rebates are separate and depend on the specific link and user eligibility.

Binance Spot fees

Spot fees are generally charged when an order executes. Maker orders add liquidity to the order book; taker orders remove it. Your personal fee page in Binance is the controlling source because VIP status, pair-specific promotions, location, and account configuration can change the rate.

ExampleCalculationFee charged / illustrative net cost
$10,000 executed Spot volume at 0.10%$10,000 × 0.001$10.00
Same example with a 25% BNB fee-payment reduction only$10.00 × 0.75$7.50
Illustration: $10 fee and a separate $2 rebate$10.00 − ($10.00 × 0.20)$8.00 illustrative net cost; $10.00 fee charged

The rebate calculation assumes the entire base fee is eligible and the entered rate applies. A separate credit does not change the fee charged at execution. Referral Pro uses USDC by default for eligible payouts; actual eligibility, eligible fee base and settlement follow Binance’s rules. Compare the fee and rebate records separately. Binance Referral Pro FAQ

These are separate hypothetical scenarios, not a quotation or a promise that BIMENCE provides a 20% rebate. The referral example applies only if Binance confirms that rate and eligible fee base for the specific link and account; no combined discount is assumed. Binance controls the charge and any rebate timing.

BNB fee-payment discounts

Spot

Binance Academy currently references a 25% discount when eligible Spot trading fees are paid with BNB. The setting, sufficient BNB balance, product eligibility, and current terms matter.

Futures

Binance Academy currently references a 10% BNB fee-payment discount for eligible Futures fees. Futures fee schedules and risk are distinct from Spot.

Do not advertise “20% + 25% = 45% off.” A referral rebate and BNB fee-payment reduction are separate mechanisms. The actual calculation order, eligible fee base, VIP rate, product, and account state determine the result.

Referral rebates and code BIMENCE

Binance’s Referral Pro documentation says an affiliate can share up to 20% of eligible Spot and Margin commission with a referred user. “Up to” is an official ceiling, not proof that every link—including BIMENCE—currently displays that maximum to every user.

Before registering, open the official Binance page and confirm the referral code, rate, eligibility, and terms shown for your location and account.

For the referrer’s commission calculation, Binance’s Referral Pro FAQ describes a gradual change to net fees after applicable market-maker rebates, starting April 29, 2026 for Spot and July 15, 2026 for Futures. This describes the affiliate commission base, not an additional automatic reduction of the customer’s execution fee or proof of a BIMENCE rebate.

VIP tiers and volume

Binance uses VIP tiers that can reduce trading fees as qualifying activity and holdings increase. The relevant lookback, product rules, and thresholds should be checked inside Binance. A public example rate should never replace the rate displayed in the user’s account.

Referral commission eligibility can also change at higher VIP levels. Binance’s Referral Pro FAQ states that Spot and Margin referral commission is not available for VIP 3 or above, which can affect the related referral benefit.

Futures fees require separate treatment

Futures fees, leverage, funding, liquidation, margin modes, and contract specifications are different from Spot. Binance’s Referral Pro documentation also distinguishes Futures referral duration: the default affiliate tier can be limited to 12 months, while qualifying higher tiers may continue without that time limit.

Risk warning: Leverage can magnify losses and liquidation risk. A fee reduction does not make a leveraged position safer or profitable.

Five checks for reconciling your Binance fees

A fee rate, a pre-trade estimate and an actual charge are different records. These five checks distinguish them without assuming a discount. For the detailed account walkthrough, see how to check your actual Binance trading fee; for network charges, see the withdrawal fee guide. Product availability and account conditions vary by region.

1. Separate the rate, estimate and actual charge

Select the correct product on the account fee page, then use Trade History to record the executed fee amount and fee asset. Est. Fee is only a reference. Reconcile each relevant fill; do not add different fee assets without stating a conversion method.

Three separate records: published fee rate, pre-trade estimate and actual charge with its fee asset
Use the executed trade record to reconcile the actual charge, not the estimate alone.

2. Keep different cost categories separate

Trading commission, a crypto withdrawal fee, Futures funding and Margin borrowing interest answer different questions. A referral benefit or BNB fee-payment setting does not automatically remove every category. Use the record for the relevant product and period; do not label a funding payment or borrowing interest as a Spot trading commission.

3. Distinguish withdrawal amount from receive amount

Binance distinguishes Withdrawal amount (fee deducted from the total) from Receive amount (fee added to the total withdrawal). Hypothetical same-asset units: with a fee of 2, withdrawing 100 leaves 98 to receive; receiving 100 requires 102 in total. This is not a live coin quotation. Hypothetical same-asset example: withdrawal 100 minus fee 2 equals receive 98; receive 100 plus fee 2 equals total 102
Hypothetical units only; the live withdrawal quotation may differ.

4. Investigate an unexpected fee before assuming a discount

Compare the product, pair, maker/taker execution, current account tier and any pair-specific conditions. Then check whether eligible BNB fee payment was enabled and had sufficient balance. A referral rebate is a separate mechanism: the BIMENCE code alone proves neither a rebate percentage nor how it combines with another benefit. Use the actual execution record and the terms displayed for the account.

Check applicable conditions rather than adding advertised discount percentages.

5. Keep a useful reconciliation record

Record the product and time, pair or withdrawal asset/network, fee amount and fee asset, relevant conditions, and the difference between the estimate and actual charge. If it remains unexplained, use official Binance support. Never publish passwords, API secrets, one-time codes, private keys or seed phrases in screenshots or support requests.

Before your first trade: compare the whole cost, not one discount

ActionCost or price to checkWhere to confirm
Spot orderYour maker or taker rate, any eligible BNB reduction, and the final fee asset.Binance Fees & Transactions Overview, order preview, then Trade History after execution.
Instant ConvertThe quoted amount you will receive. Binance says this mode has no separate traditional trading fee, but its quote can differ from the Spot market price.Review the live Convert quote before confirmation; compare it with a same-time Spot quote if useful.
P2P purchase or saleThe advertisement price, any applicable market fee, and possible payment-provider charges.Read the individual offer and the live P2P fee screen before paying.
External crypto withdrawalThe asset/network-specific withdrawal fee and minimum; these can change.Read the live withdrawal confirmation screen and verify the address, network and memo/tag.

A referral code is not a universal fee coupon. BIMENCE can identify a referral relationship when the official registration screen shows it, but the rebate, if any, must be confirmed there and in your account. It does not waive Convert quote differences, P2P prices, funding, interest or withdrawal-network costs. For account setup, use our Binance sign-up guide.
